AviationDocs for Windows software is designed to work with any Windows®-compatible EFB hardware vendors for pre-bundled solutions, a few preferred vendors have demonstrated excellence in the application of their platform for EFB use.

Each aircraft's mission has specific size, performance, and economic considerations that you must evaluate as you shop for the ideal platform.

Important Features for an EFB.

Some key features that make cockpit suitable EFB hardware include -
  • Clear, Daylight readable display
  • Lighted buttons (if you need to access buttons)
  • Solid State drives
  • Independently tested for RF and Decompression testing

When you shop, ask vendors how their hardware meets these requirements.

If you're shopping for Class 2, remember to ask them which STCs they have for mounting solutions.
